Welcome to the 93rd City of Devonport Eisteddfod to be held at the Town Hall Theatre, paranaple arts centre, 145 Rooke Street Devonport and LifeWay Church, 130 William Street Devonport.
Dates for the 2022 competition are: Dance - 7th September to 11th September 2022 Speech & Drama - 12th September to 14th September 2022 Music - 15th September to 21st September 2022 Brass Band Instrumental - 21st September 2022 Entries open on 1st April 2022 and close on 8th June 2022
2022 UPDATED COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Covid
19 restrictions have eased within the venues, whereby we will operate within
the guidelines that we are presented with for the 2022 Devonport Eisteddfod
programme.
Subject to the Tasmanian Government and Venue guidelines at time of
commencement.
These
will be as follows:
- Masks are NOT
required. Keep wearing them if you want to. They still provide protection.
- Please maintain
social distancing and sanitise regularly.
- There is to be NO
movement between backstage and the theatre auditorium, only the teacher and 1
assistant to be backstage.
- Dance competitors
will need to arrive as near to ready as possible.
- All tickets will
need to be pre-booked due to seating limitations.
- Dance passes and Season
tickets will be available this year. You
are still required to book your seats. The Box Office will be aware of who have
purchased tickets.
- Season tickets
and Dance passes can be purchased from the Box Office.
- Passes
must be worn at all times whilst in the auditorium.
Tickets will not be available to pre-book until after programming has been completed and days and dates are established. More information regarding this to come. The Devonport Committee welcomes you to our 93rd Eisteddfod. Let us all work together to stay safe, to enjoy a new year of competition.
